Free to read · Free to hear
Every book, open to everyone.
This is the reader for the books of David Jean Charlot, PhD: more than two hundred novels, guides, courses and stories, free to read in your browser with no account needed. Press Listen and a natural voice reads the chapter to you.
The goal
To share reading with the world
A book only does its work when someone gets to read it. Too often what stands between a reader and a book is a price, a distance, or a page that is hard to see.
So David Jean Charlot, PhD, opens his books here as pre-release editions, before they reach the stores: more than two hundred so far, with more added as each one is finished. A novel, a course in physics, a story for a child at bedtime: each is free to read in your browser, with no account, and free to hear for anyone who would rather listen than read.
One goal, simple to say and long to finish: to share reading with the world.
Every reader who finds a book here, and every reader they pass it on to, brings that goal a little closer.

About the editions
Pre-release editions
What you read here is each book's pre-release edition: the whole book as it stands today, ahead of its release in stores, free to read and to hear. Editions are still being polished, so a chapter you return to may read a little better than it did the first time.
