# IASE (Immersive Adaptive Story Engine), powered by PublishOS

> PublishOS is the all-in-one creator platform: one place for books, audiobooks, comics, music, video, live and games (read, listen, watch, go live, play, create). What Audible, Spotify, TikTok, Twitch and Steam each do, in one place, built for creators. IASE (Immersive Adaptive Story Engine) is the experience at publishos.ai; PublishOS is the platform underneath it (manuscript pipeline, EPUB/PDF/audio generation, payments, distribution). Status: private beta, not publicly launched.

## What it does
- Read: distraction-free reader with nine content portals today: Books, Comics, Screenplays, Newspapers, Poetry, Articles, Vlogs, Movies, Streaming. Music is coming soon as the tenth portal. Podcasts, Games and Textbooks are in early preview. Free public-domain classics need no sign-up.
- Listen: narration with per-character voices and word-by-word highlighting (beta; higher-quality voice providers still rolling out). AI narration is labeled as AI-generated in the player and in downloaded files.
- Watch and live: Vlogs, Movies and the Streaming portal.
- Play: browser games (early preview).
- Create: one upload produces an EPUB 3.3 ebook, a print-ready PDF and an audiobook draft. AI-assisted drafting, editing, illustration and music tools are in beta; some providers are placeholders.

## For creators
- Creators keep up to 96%. No platform fee until a work hits its sales threshold, then 10%, then 7%, then 4% (creators keep 100%, then 90%, 93% and 96% before payment processing). Card processing (2.9% + 30¢) is separate, and card sales have a per-sale minimum. Exact schedule: /pricing on the library site.
- Downloads: creators choose whether buyers can download DRM-free EPUB/PDF and DRM-free audio. Both are on by default.
- Distribution connectors (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Apple Books, Google Play Books, PublishDrive, IASE Marketplace) currently run in dry-run mode only; nothing is submitted to external stores yet.

## Accounts and privacy
- Passkey (WebAuthn) sign-in; email one-time codes as fallback. No passwords.
